The Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco has a variety of spaces for formal meetings, conferences, corporate retreats and private functions for up to 200 delegates. The resort offers various styles of accommodation onsite ranging from standard hotel rooms to self-contained cottages. 

Nelson Airport is New Zealand’s fourth busiest airport and it is possible to fly into Nelson from seven different locations around New Zealand for a 9am meeting start.

The hotel is only about five minutes’ drive from Nelson Airport and 15 minutes from the centre of Nelson City. We offer complimentary airport transfers for all conference delegates in our 11 seater Mercedes van, (transfers are subject to availability and requires pre-booking). For those driving, there is plenty of free off-street parking.

Your delegates will be spoilt with choice for things to see and do in the Nelson region.

Our trip purpose was for a conference in Jan 2017. The venue was lovely, with rooms that epitomise the character of an English countryside. All the staff looking after us were extremely helpful and attentive, although I suspect the workload expectation may have been quite high, as many were very busy. The hotel rooms were comfortable and the kitchen in our 2 bedroom apartment was very functional. I would recommend this venue for a conference, and will probably consider this for a family holiday as well.
